I'm always hearing from Rock Climbers in our area, that it's hard to find good rock to climb in the Columbia Gorge Region. Yes it is true that good rock can be hard to find, but that's why you want to climb with us. We have a beautiful Basalt climbing area for our Rock School and its not far from Trout Lake. We also have a new area we are developing for Lead Climber Training that has five or more pitches in it. We call these areas our own secret, but we really don't mind sharing with our climbing family. So, if you need training in the big stuff, or you are a beginner and want to get started, come "hang out" with us, we love this stuff. We have Rock Shoes for rent at $ 15.00 per day and if you take a two or three day course, we throw in the shoes as well. The CMR Store has all of the climbing equipment you need for sale or rent. To make a reservation please call (509) 395-3620. We do offer group rates and all groups must be 10 or more persons. Our Rock School season will begin on 15 June 2007 and run through till 15 October. Also remember our High Ropes Course Program, it is a great place to begin learning the basics for Rock Climbing. Our Ropes Course's will begin 15 March 2007 at our course in The Dalles Oregon and move to our course in Trout Lake in Mid June, weather permitting. All reservations must be held with a Non-refundable Non-negotiable 50 percent of cost deposit from each climber, or group. All CMR guides are trained and certified to the US Army Military Mountaineering Certification Standard
